Thomas S. Jaskiewicz, age 84, of Erie, passed away Friday, April 06, 2018 at St. Mary’s Home of Erie. He was born in Erie, on September 27, 1933, the son of the late Casimir and Louise Sulewski Jaskiewicz.
Tom was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School where he played football. He served in the United States Army and worked as a spot welder at American Sterilizer for over 30 years. Tom was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church. He loved camping and fishing.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Jaskiewicz.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Ruth E. Orr Jaskiewicz; his three daughters, Denise Jaskiewicz, of Erie, Deborah Hodack and her husband Adam, of Wattsburg, PA, and Cheryl Dubach, of Ashtabula, OH; his son, Kevin Jaskiewicz, of Harborcreek; his two brothers, Robert Jaskiewicz and Martin Jaskiewicz and his wife Catherine, both of Erie; four grandchildren, Stephen Parshall (Trisha), Kristin Jarrett (Justin), Matt Hodack, and Laura Jaskiewicz; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd. on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to a funeral service at Greenfield Baptist Church the following morning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Greenfield Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenfield Baptist Church - 9028 Williams Rd, North East, PA 16428.
