Cheryl D. Mucha, 70, passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Monday, February 12, 2018. She was born on July 01, 1947 in McIntyre Pa. to the late James Kelly and Anna Thompson.
In addition to being completely devoted to her family and friends, Cheryl was frequently seen listening to 50s and 60s music, specifically Elvis, quilting, sewing, cross-sitting, gardening and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Anna, her infant brother James and her sister Beverly Carioggia.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bob, sons David and Stephen, Stephen’s wife Brenda, sister Millie Wetzel and her husband Lawrence. All are residents of Erie. Cheryl is also survived by five grandchildren, Dustin, Brooke, Michael, Jack and Ellen, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. Cheryl will be fondly remembered for her love of family, gardening, nature and her family recipes.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to services there on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m.. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of AseraCare Hospice for their compassion, guidance, and friendship.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
