Joseph G. Bruce, 80, of Harborcreek, passed away on Monday December 18, 2017 at St. Mary's Home of Erie. He was born in Erie on June 20, 1937 a son of the late Joseph G. Bruce, Sr. and Jeanette Weber Bruce.

Joseph attended Millcreek High School and served in the United States Navy aboard the USS John Paul Jones (DD-932) during the Korean War. He worked at Amsco and Steris for 30 years before retirement and was a member of Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church. He belonged to the American Legion Carl Neff Post 571 and enjoyed classic cars, especially his 1964 Chevelle.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter in law, Mary Grace Kisiel.

Survivors include his wife, Wilda "Willie" Bray Bruce; two daughters, Pamela Kisiel Brink and her husband, Dean, of Harborcreek, and Heather Bruce Cass and her husband, Dan, of Erie; three sons, Joe Kisiel and his wife, Shaun, of Erie, Rich Kisiel and his wife, Kristie, of Harborcreek, and Patrick Bruce and his wife, Stephanie, of Erie; two sisters, Barbara Gaeckle of Erie and Cathy Mullen and her husband, Gary, of Clearfield, PA; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. and are invited to services at Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church on Thursday at 11:00 a.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 863 Silliman Ave., Erie, 16511 or a charity of one's choice.
