Rose B. Holdsworth Lang, 96, of Harborcreek, passed away Friday, November 03, 2017 at St. Mary’s Home of Erie. She was born in Erie, on March 9, 1921, the daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie Filegar Holdsworth.
Rose was a graduate of East High School. She worked for Colt Station Restaurant and later for Elgin Electronics. Rose was a member of Lawrence Park United Methodist Church. She was a very loving wife and mother, always caring for her family. Rose enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking and baking.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred C. Lang, Sr., her son, Alan Lang; her three sisters, Ruth Cranston, Charlotte Koffler, and Joan Swagerty; and her three brothers, Joseph, Charles, and Robert Holdsworth.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Fenton, of Harborcreek, her son, Alfred C. Lang, Jr., of Wattsburg, her sister-in-law, Evelyn Holdsworth, of Girard; her daughter-in-law, Susan Lang, of Erie; her 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. Erie, PA, on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of funeral service there at 6 p.m. Inurnment will take place in Wattsburg Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenfield Township Volunteer Fire Company - 10160 Station Rd, North East, PA.
