Grace Louise Cribbs McConnell, 81 of Erie, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday October 4, 2017. She passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 2, 1936 in Rural Valley, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Arthur and Goldie Cribbs.

Grace was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and she worked at Loblaws for 35 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, being the life of the party, dancing, crocheting, and bowling.

In addition to her parents she was preceeded in death by her brothers Wayne and Blayne, her sister Velma, her siblings-in-law Blair Bleakney, Shirley and Nick Whitacre, Jeannie McConnell, and her niece Nancy Zelenski.

Survivors include her husband Robert McConnell, her daughters Cindy (John) Rote, Pam (Joe) Manuella, Brenda (Scott) Tombaugh, grandchildren Liz (Tony), Kat, Suz, Brittany, Alex, Alicia, Mare, and Hannah, and sister Gladys (Hicks) Johns, siblings-in-law Bill (Marion), Jane (Frank), Carole (Pete), Alan (Pat), Larry (Carol), Donna (Ken), Monna, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend gratitude to her nurses Ashley, Patty, and Carrie.

Friends are invited to call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to a funeral service there on Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you send a donation to a charity of your choice.
