Obituary for Angeline J. Scutella (Bilotti)

Angeline Joann “Maisie” Bilotti Scutella, 92, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was born December 23, 1924, in Erie, a daughter of the late Salvatore “Sam” and Filomena Scava Bilotti.

Angeline worked at the Erie County Courthouse, retiring in 1988. She enjoyed spending time with her family, spending winters in Southern California / Arizona and loved the casinos.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Scutella, Sr., who died in 2004; five brothers, Joseph “Bing” Bilotti, Anthony “Flip” Bilotti, Salvatore “Sammy” Bilotti, Albert Bilottti, and William “Billy” Bilotti; and four sisters, Mary Leonardi, Genevieve Danner, Anna Nolan and Philomena “Petie” Capozziello. Also preceded in death by a grandson-in-law, Andy Hinkle and a great-grandson, Vincent Palermo III.

Survivors include her two sons, James Scutella, Jr., and his wife, Lonnie, of Alta Loma, California, and Mario Scutella, and his wife, Patti of Erie; and her daughter, Denise Scutella Palermo also of Erie; four grandsons, Troy Scutella and his wife, Stacy of Alta Loma, California, Mario Scutella II and his wife, Jennifer, Denis “Jamie” Scutella and his wife, Julie, and Vincent Palermo and his fiancé, Ashley; one granddaughter, Melissa Hinkle and her companion, James, all of Erie; and 16 great-grandchildren, Samantha and Wyatt Scutella of Alta Loma, California, Megan Palermo, Angel Telega, Mario III, Raven, Anthony and Kyleigh Scutella, Bella and Kayci Hinkle and Adrianna, Savannah, Raelynn, Jayden, Jaclynn and Julianna Palermo, all of Erie. She is also survived by five sisters-in-law, Elisabeth and Leona Bilotti, Jackie and Marjorie Scutella and Angeline Ianello, all of Erie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to a funeral service at Mary Queen of Peace Mausoleum Chapel, on Friday at 10:00 a.m..
