Patricia Bumba Kuzdzal, 70, of Erie, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at her residence after courageously battling a lengthy illness. She was born in Mount Pleasant, PA on July 8, 1946, a daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Hahn Bumba.
Patricia graduated from Ramsay High School and the St. Vincent School of Nursing. She naturally cared for others and spent the majority of her career as a Certified Registered Nurse Infusion Team Leader with Hamot Medical Center’s I.V. Therapy Team. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish serving as a Eucharistic Minister and Religious Instructor. Patti was an enthusiastic pet lover and would have adopted them all if she could. She supported several local animal and medical causes. In her free time, she enjoyed needlepoint, reading, golfing and shopping.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Floyd Kuzdzal whom she married on January 23, 1967; two sons, Jeff Kuzdzal and Todd Kuzdzal and his wife, Pamela, all of Erie, PA; one sister, Anita Solet and her husband, Paul, of Lafayette, LA; three grandchildren, Brandon Walter, and Tess and Leah Kuzdzal; one great grandchild, Ella Voto; her mother in law, Rosalie Kuzdzal of Dunkirk, NY; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and long time friends.
Family and Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to a Catholic Service there on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. celebrated by Fr. Greg Passauer of All Saints Catholic Parish. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in St. Hyacinth Cemetery in Dunkirk, NY.
