Obituary for Ronald E. Bilski

Ronald E. Bilski, 75, of Erie, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his friends on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. He was born in Erie on September 23, 1941 a son of the late Edward C. and Regina "Jean" Twargowski Bilski.

Ronald graduated from Erie Tech and went on to graduate from the GE Apprentice Program where he also taught classes. He graduated from Gannon University where he earned his B.S. in Engineering and worked with GE as an engineer for over 38 years before retiring in 1997. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and the Siebenbuerger Club. He enjoyed re-building lawnmowers and other machines. He especially enjoyed ballroom dancing and dancing to polka music and would travel to various places to dance.

Survivors include one brother, Richard Bilski and his wife, Kathleen, of Erie; one niece, Krystyna Bilski of Erie; one nephew, Peter Bilski of Erie; his dear friends and caregivers, Kay Kujan and Donald Kowalski, both of Erie; and many cousins.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and are invited to a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.
