Lucille H.  Barthelmes (Weschler)
Lucille H. Weschler Barthelmes, 88, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at St. Mary's Home East surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Erie on June 14, 1928 a daughter of the late Norbert E. and Anna T. Traul Weschler.

Lucille originally worked for Weschler's Photo Studio and Erie Camera Center. She went on to work at Addressograph-Multigraph Corporation before co-owning Ed’s Golden Dawn Grocery Store with her husband. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church and enjoyed ceramics, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Barthelmes II; one sister, Florence Anne Ott; and one brother, William "Billy" Weschler.

Survivors include two sons, Edward C. Barthelmes and his wife, Judy, of Erie and Norbert E. Barthelmes and his wife, Carol, of Washington, PA; four grandchildren, David E. Barthelmes and his wife, Cheri, of Canonsburg, PA, and Matthew E., Sarah E. and Emily M. Barthelmes, all of Erie; one great granddaughter, Payton Marie Barthelmes of Canonsburg, PA; one sister, Rita Rose Bedard of Monroe, NY; one nephew, Joseph DiTullio and his wife, Mary, of Erie; and one niece, Carol Crock and her husband, Richard, of Erie.

Friends may call at St. Mary's Home East on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of the Funeral Mass there at 1:00 p.m.. Entombment will follow in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
