Obituary for Jean Crishock (Hosbach)

Jean Crishock (Hosbach)
Jean B. Crishock, age 86, of Erie passed away suddenly on Monday, May 29, 2017 after a brief illness. She has born in Conneaut Ohio on October 10, 1930, daughter of the late Benjamin and Ethel Hosbach.
Jean lived in the Erie area most of her life. She graduated from Lawrence Park High School in 1947 and still enjoyed her luncheons with the “Lawrence Park Girls”. She worked at General Electric until her marriage to Walter J. Crishock on October 7, 1949. She lived in Colorado for a short time while her husband was stationed there during the Korean War. Jean enjoyed her life as a politician’s wife. She accompanied her late husband, Walter, who was a city councilman for almost twenty years, on many interesting adventures. She and her husband enjoyed travelling together and playing pinochle. After her husband’s death she went to work for the Erie County Library system where she was employed for five years before she retired to look after her grandson, a job she was truly proud of.
Jean loved to read and enjoyed music, especially listening to her favorite CD’s while playing yahtzee. She loved her facebook and playing cards with the ladies at Mercy Terrace apartments where she resided for several years. She loved family get-togethers and especially enjoyed playing games with her family during the holidays. She had a great sense of humor and will truly be missed.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter in 1986, her son, Robert in 2014 and by her brother Harold Hosbach. Survivors include her son James (Patti) and their son, Jeffrey (Joanna) of Hummelstown, PA, and daughter Rachel of Pittsburgh, PA, daughter Linda DeFelice (Ralph) and their two sons, Daniel and David of Erie, and son John (Martha) of Ypsilanti, MI.
