Diane J.  Lute
Diane J. Lute, age 65, of Erie, passed away, Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Pleasant Ridge Manor. She was born in Erie, on June 12, 1951, the daughter of the late Charles A. and Althea M. Seib Lute.

After many years of care from her parents, Diane was put into the care of the Barber National Institute, including group homes, and in her latest years at Pleasant Ridge Manor. In her youth she attended Erie First Church of the Nazarene. Diane liked “snappy” music, throwing the ball around and enjoyed her stuffed animals.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandmother, Clara Seib and her brother-in-law, James C. Vaughn.

She is survived by her brother, Robert C. Lute and his wife Jane of Clymer, P.A.; her sister, Marlene C. Vaughn, of Erie; and her nephews, Doug and Greg Lute and Matt and Ted Bucklin.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. Erie, PA 16504 on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service there at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private in Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dr. Gertrude A. Barber Foundation - 100 Barber Place Erie, PA 16507 and/or to the First Church of the Nazarene - 5426 Cider Mill Rd, Erie, PA 16509.
