Douglas  B.  Dahlstrand
Douglas Bulo Dahlstrand, 31, of Erie, passed away on Friday March 17, 2017. He was born on January 25, 1986, son of Jeffrey and Pamela Zimmer Dahlstrand.

Doug attended Fairview and McDowell High School where he participated in football, wrestling, and track and field. He was All-County in football and was a Metro Champion in the javelin as well as the Butler Invitational Champion.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force and was self-employed as an electrician. He attended St. Peter Cathedral and was a former lifeguard at Presque Isle State Park. He loved hunting, fishing, cars, dogs, the Denver Broncos, playing guitar and music. He was a dedicated member of Narcotics Anonymous.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Dahlstrand and Richard Zimmer; his niece, Isla Jade Hicks; and his aunt, Sue Rimpa

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Hunter Douglas Dahlstrand; three sisters, Kelly Dahlstrand, Julie Hicks and her husband, Matt, and Jordan Dahlstrand; his grandparents, June Zimmer and Robert and Carolyn Schweitzer; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and are invited to a Funeral Mass at St. Peter Cathedral on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
