Dorothy P. Lazar Wilbur, 75, of Summit Twp., passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday February 20, 2017 at UPMC Hamot. She was born in Erie on May 31, 1941 a daughter of the late Louis and Caroline Dyszczyk Lazar.

Dorothy worked for Super Duper for 25 years before retiring in 1997 and was a member of Erie First Assembly. She enjoyed camping, cooking and playing cards and bingo with friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Charles "Chas" Wilbur and one brother, Alexander Lazar.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra Bisbee of Ripley, NY and Darlene Vogel and her husband John of Findlay Lake, NY; three sons, Donald Haibach and his wife Kim of Corry, Louis Haibach of Wattsburg, and Richard Haibach and his wife Sallie of Erie; one stepdaughter, Caroline Marte and her husband Roberto of Erie; three stepsons, David Wilbur of Jacksonville, FL, Matthew Wilbur and his wife Valerie of Erie, and Michael Wilbur of Erie; one sister, Shirley Minnis and her husband Clair of Missions, TX; seven grandchildren, Judy, Erin, Morgan, Brandon, Brianna, Lauren, and Charlie; three great grandchildren; many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Erie First Assembly, 8150 Oliver Road, on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services there at 7:00 p.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
