Gerald A. Roberts, 82, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 14, 2017 at St. Mary's Home East Gallagher Unit. He was born in Marsteller, PA on October 17, 1934 a son of the late Donald and Mary Clevenger Roberts.

Gerald worked at National Fuel for 43 years and attended Asbury United Methodist Church. He was a former Assistant Boy Scout leader with Trinity United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Craig Steven Roberts; three siblings in infancy, Howard, Robert, and Baby Roberts; three sisters, Mabel Larue Fleming, Twila Scott, and Thelma Repine; and one brother, Donald W. Roberts, Jr..

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Cynthia K. Mohr Roberts; three sons, Scott Roberts and his wife, Debbie, Kelly Roberts, and Mark Roberts, all of Erie; one grandson, Chris Roberts; two sisters, Dorothy Pesaniello and her husband, John, of New Jersey and Shirley Strohmeyer and her husband, Paul, of Erie; one brother, James Roberts of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to services there on Friday at 1:00 p.m.. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made, in Gerald's name, to St. Mary's Home East Gallagher Unit, 607 E. 26th St., Erie, 16504 or Asbury United Methodist Church, 4703 W. Ridge Road, Erie, 16506.
