Obituary for Agatha Dorich (Bianchi)
Agatha Bianchi Dorich, 80, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Monday January 16, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Pratola Peligna, Italy on December 5, 1936 a daughter of the late Sebastian and Jenny Giovannuchi Bianchi.
Agatha was a 1954 graduate of Academy High School and worked with Erie Technological Products for a number of years. She was a member of the St. James Seniors and the CYS Club. She enjoyed going to the casino and bowling.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Dorich and one grandson, Jamie Wilt.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Powell and Jean Langer (Scott) all of Erie; one son Sam Cihon of Erie; seven grandchildren, Teasha, Rashell, Carly, Courtney, Craig, Jared, and Shawn; three great grandchildren, Danny, Isaiah, and Jordan; one sister, Rita Hansen (Peter) of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to a graveside service at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in section 1-F. Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16504.
The family would like to thank Fr. John Malthaner for providing Agatha with her Last Rites prior to her passing.
Memorial contributions can be made to VNA Hospice, 2253 W. Grandview Blvd., Erie, 16506.
