"Auer Hero"
David Michael Auer, 54, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 11, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Erie on April 6, 1962 a son of Donald and June Hafey Auer.
David graduated from Tech Memorial in 1980 and went on to graduate from Columbus College of Arts and Design. He worked as a custom framer with Auer Framing Gallery and enjoyed music, hunting, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his brother in infancy, Brian Auer.
In addition to his parents, survivors include one sister, Debbie Auer of Erie; three brothers, Donald Auer, Jr. and his wife Cathy, Douglas Auer, and Dennis Auer and his wife Krista, all of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16504.
Memorial contributions can be made to Great Lakes Hospice, 1700 Peach St., Suite 244, Erie, PA 16501.
