Obituary for Donald G. Trohoske

Donald G.  Trohoske
Donald G. Trohoske, 75, of Erie, passed Saturday, April 16, 2016, at his residence. He was born in Erie, on September 28, 1940, the son of the late Robert E. and Sarah Jane Hall Trohoske.

Donald was a 1958 graduate of McDowell High School where he was member of the football and basketball teams. He was a machinist at General Electric for 35 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the U.E. #506, the Erie Sportsman Club and the American Legion Millcreek Post 773.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth A. Bebko Trohoske and his brother, Robert Trohoske.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Knoll Trohoske; two daughters, Lisa Chatham and her husband Rick of Lancaster, N.Y., and Jennifer Sulz and her husband Frank Sulz, III of Edinboro; his son, Donald G. Trohoske, Jr. and his wife Lynsey, of Elkins Park, Pa,; 8 grandchildrenTyler, Sarah, and Margaret Chatham, Lauren and Joshua Sulz, Gemma, Madison, and Aarya Trohoske; his brother, William Trohoske and his wife Joan, of Erie; two step-daughters, Julie Wilson and her husband Matthew, of Pittsburgh, Lisa Hinman and her husband Rick, of Pittsburgh; 4 step-grandchildren, Kendall and Brady Hinman, Mackenzie and Logan Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Family Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
