Violet K. Zewe (Hammerman)
Violet K. Hammerman Zewe age 96 of Union City, passed away at her home on Tuesday April 5, 2016. She was born in Erie on July 18, 1919 a daughter of the late Jess and Kate Schleickher Hammerman.
Violet graduated from Academy High School and previously worked as a route driver for the Erie Times News.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Zewe and her son, James J. Hammerman. She is survived by three brothers, Jess, Bill and Ed Hammerman, many grandchildren, special niece Janet Bailey and her loving cats George and Muffin.
Funeral services were private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were under the care of the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. Erie, PA 16504. Memorial contributions may be made to Orphan Angels 5439 West Lake Rd. Erie, PA 16505.
