Dolores Marie "Dolly" Peskorski (Radecki)
Dolores M. “Dolly” Radecki Peskorski age 73 of Erie, passed away at her residence with her family by side on Friday February 26, 2016. She was born in Erie on April 19, 1942 a daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude Grabowski Radecki. She was also preceded in death by her step-father Charlie Schultz and one son John Peskorski III.
Dolores was a graduate of St. Benedict Academy in 1960, and was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She worked and retired from St. Vincent Health Center in the dietary department, where she made many lifelong friends. Dolores made every occasion a celebration, all who knew “Dolly” knew she could bake and cook and that she loved to throw a party so that she could be surrounded by family and friends. She loved decorating for holidays but her favorite time of the year was making Christmas and her house magical for her friends and family. She left us with many great memories that were made on yearly camping trips in Cooks Forest and other family vacations. She loved spending time with her family and her monthly girls club. She never missed a special event or occasion. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, having picnics at the beach, doing crossword puzzles, going to the casino with her lifelong friend Jeanie and especially enjoyed her shopping with her sister Audrey (her favorite shopping buddy).
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, John J. Peskorski Jr., whom she married on May 27, 1962; she was an awesome, loving and dedicated mother to, Pamela (Terry) Fralick of Lake City, Lynne (Tim) Yezzi of Erie, Kevin Peskorski and his fiancée Darla Appleton of Erie and Mary Beth (Todd) Szoszorek of Erie; grandmother to, Justin Yezzi, Michael Cratty II, Morgan Yezzi, T.J. Szoszorek, Faith Szoszorek and Taylor Szoszorek; great-grandmother to, Natalie. Dolly is further survived by one sister Audrey Quirk and numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Regional Home Health and Hospice for all their care and support.
