Obituary for Lanette J. Oswalt (Weigand)

Lanette J. Weigand Oswalt, 91, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Sunday October 18, 2015 at Westlake Woods. She was born in Erie on November 11, 1923 a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Sophie Zaepfel Weigand.
Lanette graduated from Academy High School and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where volunteered for many years with the Tape Ministry. She served as Treasurer for many years with the Women of the ECLA and was an avid sports fan, especially the Cleveland Browns and Indians.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Earl J. Oswalt and two sisters, Dorothy Murphy and Evelyn Downie;
Survivors include two nieces, Linda Downie of Indian Harbor Beach, FL and Sandra Jarrell of Holly Hills, FL; two great nieces, Mariah and Brittany Giordano of Daytona Beach, FL; a stepdaughter Deborah Shoup and her husband Patrick of Erie; and her step-daughter in law, Agnes McBeth and her husband Lewis of Fairview.
Friends are invited to a graveside service at Erie Cemetery (section 25) on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m..
