Obituary for Robert S. Napierkowski Sr.

Robert S. Napierkowski Sr. age 73 of Millcreek, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday August 7, 2015. He was born in Erie on May 29, 1942 a son of the late Stanley and Anna Skolnik Napierkowski.
Robert retired from Fenestra Corporation in 1998 after 35 years of service and later worked for Specialty Steak. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and also the Siebenbuerger Club. Robert enjoyed reading and latch hooking and used his skills to make many hats and buddy dollies for children and teens in the community.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Napierkowski in infancy and Richard Napierkowski in 2009.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Charlene Quinn Napierkowski; two sons, Robert S. Napierkowski Jr. and William (Daphne) Napierkowski all of Erie; one daughter, Cynthia (Mark) Stadtmiller of Erie; six grandchildren, Amanda and Jessica Stadtmiller, Andrea, Zachary, Kassie and Joshua Napierkowski; one great-granddaughter, Ava Robertson; two brothers, Stanley (Katherine) Napierkowski of Fairview and Ronald Napierkowski of Erie; five sisters, MaryAnn Simanowski of Erie, Cathy (Tony) Dylewski of Texas, Susan (Bob) Powell, Carol (Chris) Grettler and Charlene (Dana) Trojanowich all of Erie and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Regional Home Health and Hospice for all their care and support.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. Erie, 16504 on Sunday from 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM, and are invited to a prayer service there on Monday afternoon at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral mass at 1:30 PM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o the funeral home.
