Gerard T.  Uht, Jr.
Gerard T. "Jerry" Uht, Jr., 44, a lifelong Erie resident, died on Monday morning March 17, 2008 at the St. Vincent Health Center following an extended illness.

He was born in Erie on February 28, 1964 a son of Gerard T. Uht, Sr. of Erie and Natalie C. North Uht of Erie.

Jerry was the founder and owner for the past 13 years of the Professional Communications Messaging Service. A 1982 graduate of Cathedral Prep, he graduated from Gannon College in 1986 with a bachelor's degree and with a dual major in Business and Psychology.
He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Msgr. Goodill Council
#11229, the Erie Club, and an avid golfer and member of the Lakeview Country Club. His most treasured times were spent at the beach house with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of 20 years Debra A. Zatkiewicz Uht; 2 sons, Gerard T. Uht, III and Thomas Uht, both at home; 2 daughters, Lauren and Christine Uht, both at home; 6 sisters, Mary Beth Becker and her husband Andrew of Safety Harbor, FL, Libby Barnes and her husband Joel of Naples, FL, Suzanne Trucilla and her husband John of Erie, Aimee Baumann and her husband Larry of Erie, Helen Agresti and her husband Michael of Erie, and Eileen Geffre and her husband Michael of Laguna Beach, CA; 2 brothers, James Uht of San Diego, CA and Robert Uht of Erie; his father and mother in law, Donald and Nina Altadonna Zatkiewicz of Erie; 2 brother in laws, John Zatkiewicz and his wife Carol of Geneseo, NY and David Zatkiewicz and his wife Melissa of North Kingsville, OH; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, 5000 Wattsburg Road, Erie, corner of East Gore Rd. and Pine Ave., Wednesday 7 to 9 PM and Thursday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM and are invited to a Liturgy of the Word at St. Luke Church on Friday morning at 9:30 AM.
Burial will be in the Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Emmaus Soup Kitchen, 218 E. 11th St., Erie, 16503 or St. Martin Center, 1701 Parade St., Erie, 16503.
