Angeline Fedei Matoney Ives, 89, Wattsburg, PA, affectionately known as Grandma Bruce and Mushroom, died Tuesday morning, May 8, 2007, at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born in Erie, June 18, 1917, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Piunno Fedei and was raised and adopted by her aunt and uncle, Michael and Genny Piunno Matoney in Cleveland, OH. She lived in the Erie area most of her adult life.

She was employed at the May Co. in Cleveland and Bird Plastics before working for Buffalo Molded Plastics, Inc. for over 3 years in the early 1960's. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and Bingo.

Angeline was survived by one daughter, Genevieve Bruce and her husband Bobby Bruce, Sr. of Wattsburg; two sisters, Agnes Kwitowski of Erie and Jean Johnston of Greene Twp.; three grandchildren, Bobby Bruce, Jr. and his wife Laurie of Mansfield, PA, Anna Bruce of North East and Rebecca Nester and her husband of Conneaut, OH; three great grandchildren, Kelly, Daniel and Myles Bruce of Mansfield, PA and a God child, Roberta Perno and her husband Tom of Mentor, OH. She was preceded in death by four brothers, George, Dominick, Raymond and John Fedei and two sisters, Frances Goleski and Mary Calabrese.

Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Russell C. Schmidt and Son Funeral Home, 5000 Wattsburg Road (corner of Pine Ave. and East Gore Road). A prayer service will be held there Friday at 2:00 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 2:30 p.m., celebrated by Msgr. Bruce Allison. Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
